Former faculty member Prof. Dr. Cem Yalçın Yıldırım along with Daniel Goldston, Janos Pintz, and Yitang Zhang won the
2014 Cole Prize in Number Theory
for their work on small gaps between primes.
Yıldırım, Goldston, and Pintz will also jointly deliver an
invited talk at the
International Congress of Mathematicians (ICM 2014)
in August 2014 in Seoul, South Korea.
